Chancellor's letter to students on budget uncertainties

Find the message that Chancellor Tom Case sent to all UAA students in early March, regarding university budget uncertainties for FY17. This legislative session, state leaders are grappling with a massive state budget gap. State agency heads and budget managers, including those at the University of Alaska, anticipate impacts.

Chancellor Case encourages widespread student engagement, including monitoring these sources of fresh information:
  • UAA FY17 Budget webpage: Includes budget background and resources, as well as opportunities for the UAA campus community to post budget ideas, commentary and questions.
  • Coffee with the Chancellor and members of the Cabinet with dates/locations through April 14
  • Latest Capitol Report appears on this page shortly after Chris Christiansen, associate vice chancellor for state relations, files them. These are the latest reports from Juneau, including opportunities to testify before various committees dealing with the university budget.
